I had to share this article another friend shared w/ me. I love Bridgette - talk about a sweetheart! Thanks, Bridgeeee for sharing. I will be taking each one of these lines and putting them throughout Kaylee's baby scrapbook. So adorable. I love it.
Thirty-two things that change when you have a baby....
1. You finally stop to smell the roses, because your baby is in your arms.
2. Where you once believed you were fearless, you now find yourself afraid.
3. The sacrifices you thought you made to have a child no longer seem like sacrifices.
4. You respect your body... finally.
5. You respect your parents and love them in a new way.
6. You find that your baby's pain feels much worse than your own.
7. You believe once again in the things you believed in as a child.
8. You lose touch with the people in your life whom you should have been banished years ago.
9. Your heart breaks much more easily.
10. You think of someone else 234,836,178,976 times a day.
11. Every day is a surprise.
12. Bodily functions are no longer repulsive. In fact, they please you. (Horray for poop!)
13. You look at your baby in the mirror instead of yourself.
14. You become a morning person.
15. Your love becomes limitless, a superhuman power.
16. You discover how much there is say about one tooth.
17. You finally realize that true joy doesn't come from material wealth.
18. You now know where the sun comes from.
19. You'd rather buy a plastic tricycle than those shows you've been dying to have.
20. You realize that although sticky, lollipops have magical powers.
21. You don't mind going to bed at 9 p.m. on Friday night.
22. Silence? What's that?
23. You realize that the 15 pounds you can't seem to get rid of are totally worth having.
24. You discover an inner strength you never thought you had.
25. You no longer rely on a clock - your baby now sets your schedule.
26. You can give parents with a screaming child an 'I-know-the-feeling' look instead of a 'Can't-they-shut-him-up?' one.
27. Your dog - who used to be your 'baby' - becomes just a dog.
28. You take the time for one more hug and kiss even if it means you'll be late.
29. You learn that taking a shower is a luxury.
30. You realize that you can love a complete stranger.
31. You find yourself wanting to make this world a better place.
32. If you didn't believe in love a first sight before, now you do!

OUR BABY GIRL!
Well, it's a girl! Kaylee Madilynn King. How amazingly blessed do I feel?! Two days before Thanksgiving, and we find out our baby is COMPLETELY healthy and is "perfect"! The ultrasound tech kept saying over and over how amazingly pretty her little face is and how strong she is. She was flipping and kicking and punching. When we first started the ultrasound, Kaylee stuck up her little thumb and opened her mouth... and then stuck her whole hand in mouth. It was so adorable to see my little girl sucking on her fingers, haha. The ultrasound tech also said she has to be an athlete because of her structure and how beautiful her legs are. I'm so excited!!!! 20 more weeks and I'll be able to hold her against me and look into her little eyes and grab her little fingers.. and kiss her little face. I can't wait.

17 weeks!!
Wow! I'm 17 weeks pregnant as of yesterday. I really cannot believe how fast time goes by. I remember when I was younger, the whole concept of time meant nothing. Now, it's like I try to catch minutes and hours and save them.
I heard my baby's heartbeat Friday, November 7 for the first time. I would sit here and explain how I melted, how my eyes got watery, and how my own heart skipped a beat, but there really are no words to explain the feeling I felt. It was simply perfection. Troy thought it was pretty amazing, too. The next appt is November 25 when we get to find out the sex! I'm betting on a little girl. Troy is convinced we're having a boy. I don't care either way. We officially have names. These names are set in stone!
Girl - Kaylee Madilynn King
Boy - Bryce Smith King
There is a story behind 'Smith'.. it was Troy's idea to put Smith as the middle name. Troy's actual last name should technically be Smith. His biological's father (Troy's biological grandfather) passed away and his mother remarried and took King as her name. So King became the family name. When Troy was born, they decided to keep Smith in the name, and we decided to keep the name alive as well.
As for the girl's name.. I've ALWAYS wanted to name my little girl Kaylee. I just love the name. The name was originally going to be Madilynn Michelle King, but after thinking about it (and thinking about the reasons as to why I originally wanted the name), I figured it wouldn't be fair to my child to name her that. I was going to have Michelle as the middle name, as my best friend passed away last year. Her name was Michell. But I don't want my child's name to be a constant reminder of Michell's death, so I have decided to keep Michell's memory alive in other ways.
ANYWAY! That's the update for now!

Finally, I know, an update!
Okay, so I know. I'm horrible at keeping people updated via my Baby Blog! Do you know how hard it is to find some time to sit down and write about everything? I'm sorry friends and family! Anyway.. here are the latest updates!
Baby King is growing and growing. I'm 14 weeks pregnant - can you believe how fast the time flies?! I find out what I'm having Nov. 25th and get to hear the heartbeat for the first time Nov. 4th at my 16 week appt. As soon as I find out what I'm having, I'm going on a baby shopping spree! It's right before Thanksgiving, and we all know the sales that go on after Thanksgiving! I can't wait! I'm so afraid I'm going to spoil my kid ROTTEN! Anyway, we officially have a girl's name if we have a girl... Madilynn Michelle King. We are working on a boy's name. We agreed on Bryce, but I'm not sure I 100% like it.
The last appt we went to was at my 12th week, and I swear we have a future sports star on our hands. Little baby King was moving and kicking and swinging her/his arms like no other. It was hard for the doctor to even take a picture, because she/he wouldn't stay still! We got to see all the little fingers and even the toes. Talk about one amazing feeling. I kept laughing and smiling, which only made the baby move even more. I have a new ultrasound pic. You guys can find it on my Myspace www.myspace.com/californiabrooke - if you don't have a Myspace, all I can say is GET ONE! Most of my updates are on there, and I get on that a lot. Buuut.. for the people who do not have one (and want nothing to do w/ it), I'll be posting the baby pic soon. I promise! There are also pics on my Myspace of my little preggo belly.
I am starting to feel little flutters of my baby moving, but I'm not feeling any hard kicks, yet. The baby is still too small for me to feel anything. All organs are officially done making and now it's time for Little King's brain to grow and development! He/she is also growing the little hairs all over his/her body. He/she is working on making faces and can even suck his/her little thumb.
I am so excited to find out what I'm having! I really want a little girl, but of course, I'll be happy either way. So far, our baby is healthy and growing at the perfect rate. My levels are great and all my tests came back perfect. I have to say (and maybe brag) about how lucky I feel.. and am. My life has been a rollercoaster of good & awful times, but I truly feel it's all led up to this moment. I'm meant to be a Momma. I can't wait to be able to hear my baby scream in that hospital room and I can't wait to kiss it's little forehead and hold her/her against me.
Talk about my emotions! My mom and I and some family friends went to the Calico Festival and we caught glimpse of a little newborn. We ended up talking to the mom. The baby was 9 weeks premature, and was born in July. He just got out of the hospital and weighs 6 pounds. He was a pure picture of perfection. His name was Kevin. Looking at him made my eyes water and seeing his Momma take such precaution against taking care of him just made my heart melt! Then... I got uncomfortable walking around for 3 hours, started getting hot, and got a bad headache. I had to go home and lay down for a little while. After taking 2 Tylenol and drinking a bottle of water, I felt fine. Unfortunately, my headaches have been HORRIBLE during my pregnancy, but I'm dealing w/ them.
Well, that's all for now. I'll update more often, I promise!!!!!!!
With love,

Baby King update!
Well, everything is going great! I went to my first ultrasound appt on Aug. 28 and I got to see the little tiny flicker of a heartbeat! How amazing was that?! It was the coolest thing ever. Hopefully at the next appt I get to HEAR it! Troy will be with me, so it should be a really emotional moment (for me anyway!) He's so not emotional..typical guy. Anyway, the doctor told me everything is looking perfect. My blood pressure was perfect and everything is going well. I'm now in my 7th week..8th week Monday. I have a picture of a picture of my ultrasound picture. I haven't scanned it in yet, so I'm being lazy, but I'm pregnant (it's my new found excuse for EVERYTHING!) So, enjoy my picture of a picture! See that little white spec? That's my baby!
And this week, Baby King's limbs are developing!! He or She is the size of a blueberry, but is 10,000 times BIGGER than at conception. The biggest growth of my little miracle this week is the head! New brain cells are being generated at the rate of 100 cells per minute. Little King's mouth and tongue are also forming this week, and he or she has gone through THREE set of kidneys already! Can you believe that?! Looks like Baby King is working hard!
